Journey to FigTree Retreat and experience breathtaking hikes with views from the surrounding hills. Upon being welcomed by our Scottish Highland cattle, Berkshire pig, alpacas and abundance of birds, depending on the time of year, there is always something unique to experience. The landscape changes throughout the seasons - stoke the fire under the stars in Autumn-Winter and in Spring-Summer, pack a picnic basket and enjoy a dip in the creek. We welcome private and group glamping stays, wellness services and boutique group event bookings.

Glamping

We have 5 beautiful canvas bell tents that are equipped with comfy spring mattress, linen, floor rugs, internal and external seating, picnic basket, lighting and power bank. These can be booked individually for up to 2 ppl or all 5 tents can be booked for groups of up to 10-15 ppl. Our tents are fully water proof and quite warm during the cooler months. Events bring people together and create a sense of community. It can often become costly to send your team, sporting or community group away, what better way to keep it rural and local. Whether you wish to host your own corporate or wellness group retreat, glamping birthday, wedding proposal or simply a special ‘girls getaway’, we have a qualified Event Manager to help make your boutique event truly unique. Wellness

We are passionate about nurturing health and wellbeing, which is why we created FigTree (Fig symbolises ‘nurture’). Whether you are attending a pre-planned group wellness retreat hosted by a wellness professional, or pre-book a wellness package or spa experience we have qualified wellness professionals and dedicated wellness zones for massage, sauna or cold water immersion that can be pre-booked for your stay.

FAQ

  • A more luxurious style of the traditional camping. Arrive with everything already set up for you - proper king coil mattress with bed base and linen, luxurious linen and duvet with plush blankets. Depart without the hassle of packing up and cleaning your tent - its all done for you!

  • Yes. Each tent has a bathroom with warm water, proper toilet and all towels are supplied.

  • Yes. Our wellness services are open Monday-Saturday on site here at FigTree Retreat. We have packages ranging from a 1-hour massage, 2-hour massage, sauna and outdoor bath package, 4 hour couples wellness experience or even add on a ‘mini-retreat’ with your booking which includes a private yoga class.

  • Yes. There is a ‘communal camp kitchen’. Basic cooking facilities including a camp cooker (gas operated), gas Weber BBQ, washing up facilities, power points and refrigeration.

  • We are located 24 minutes from Wagga Wagga which is the closest City where you can find a petrol station, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, airport and many local shops, plus more!

  • We have one pet friendly glamping tent and can accommodate up to 2 small pets only. It is advised to keep your pet on a lead if he/she is not stock-proof (ie. experienced around other animals). There is also a pet friendly reserve at Oura Beach Reserve on the river, just a short 5 minute drive.

  • Our tents are made from durable, 360gsm cotton canvas which ensure breathability during the warmer months and heat retention during Winter. We have accompanied our tents with luxury king coil mattresses and linen to ensure extra comfort across the ever changing seasons of our region.

  • Seasonally, yes. We allow fires during the months of May-September unless the local authorities declare a fire ban.

  • Depending on your length of stay. We supply 1 fire bucket of wood to last each night. There is certainly enough bush area to also source small logs and sticks on the property if you wish.

  • Hike one of the hills, enjoy a sunset picnic, book a sunrise yoga class, enjoy a hot tub under the stars, cook up a camp feast and enjoy by the fire, detox in a sauna and cold water immersion session, read a book or say hello to our pet Highland cattle ‘Shaggy’ and ‘Fudge’ or give a friendly nose scratch to ‘Prana’, our pet Berkshire pig!

  • There are two options:

    2. If you book through the “glamping packages’ button, we have accommodation + massage packages available in a calendar view.
